Art Nouveau Squared Quilt

Gilded Roses and …Silver Sardines? Glamorous Art Nouveau with just a sprinkle of the absurd.

This quilt is made from super soft designer cottons in modern prints and earth toned solids, with a lot of gold and silver metallic shimmer. You’ll find swirling shapes, watercolor florals and rich golden stripes. But also, stately flamingos and slick sardines because all that gold needs some grounding whimsy.

Colors are plum and burgundy like wine, greens in pistachio, sea glass and sage, champagne neutrals, black and a fiery orange-red. Backed in a peachy Impressionist roses printed cotton and quilted in horizontal straight lines with champagne pink thread.

Approximately 65" x 78", perfect size for a twin bed, or a generous lap quilt or throw. For the full effect, use it to dress your solid gold bed.

Pieced, quilted, and bound by me on my sewing machine. Prewashed for preshrinking and colorfastness, in an eco-friendly product called Soak. Machine washable and dryable.
