This version of Decibels takes the wonderfully unusual palette of Carolyn Friedlander's Memento collection and sets it against Peppered Cotton in Miami, a woven background with a bright blue-and-lavender crossweave that reads as a rich, dimensional lavender.
The result is a harmonious and unexpected, full of the kind of color combinations that make you stop and look twice.

💡 Why this kit
Memento already has an unusual way with color. Cobalt meets olive. Lavender hangs out with orange. Neon pops up alongside softer neutrals. And it all works so well.
Adding coordinating Speckled fabrics expands that palette into an even fuller rainbow, while the Miami Peppered Cotton background changes the whole mood of the quilt.
Unlike a flat solid, this woven fabric has a crossweave of blue and bright lavender, giving the background depth and movement. From a distance, it reads as a vibrant lavender; up close, there's even more going on.
The result is colorful, graphic, ELECTRIC!
