This boxed quilt kit includes everything needed to make the quilt top and binding for the large 86" x 86" version of Casserole, all packaged in a keepsake box perfect for gifting and keeping everything neatly organized.
The Casserole pattern is traditionally pieced and cut using a rotary cutter (no templates or paper piecing required) and Elizabeth Hartman’s famously clear instructions make this an approachable project for confident beginners and experienced quilters alike. The finished quilt features nine oversized flower medallion blocks joined with sashing and plus blocks for a striking modern layout with a nostalgic twist.

This pattern uses traditional piecing techniques and rotary-cut shapes, NO templates or paper piecing required!
While the quilt is beginner-friendly in terms of construction, the large quilt size and many small pieces make it best suited to confident beginners and beyond. Check out this list, and if it makes you feel confident in your skills, then you can definitely handle this stunning quilt.

Scenery is Elizabeth Hartman’s first fabric collection for Moda Fabrics (she previously designed collections for Kaufman fabrics), featuring subtle tone-on-tone prints inspired by plants, landscapes, and the natural world. The collection was designed specifically with patchwork in mind, with a lovely variety of blenders for quilts with lots of movement, color play, and small pieced details.
