Adorned Shield quilt
Eclectic, Funky, Fancy & Fierce
The Adorned Shield quilt is made from a soft shimmering gold linen and super soft designer cottons in fun & fancy prints from the Adorn collection from designer Rashida Coleman-Hale of Ruby Star Society; look closely and you'll find fancy bows, earrings and accessories, bold stripes, flowers, and fierce feminine faces. Perfect for a funky boho studio apartment, and yet works equally well as a bold and fun quilt for a toddler bed. The quilt block pattern is a classic Flowering Snowball, arranged to look like shields, some of which are spotlighted.
In shades of melon, navy, teal, citron and black, this is quilted with a linen-white thread in a straight line grid. An orchid pink binding with a metallic stars print frames up those bold shields. The backing is a woven orchid pink checkered fabric. Look closely at the top as the yarn-dyed linen with soft metallic gold threads catches the light and shimmers.
Approximately, 46" x 60", perfect size for a child’s toddler bed, or use it to accessorize any place that could use some extra glitz. Also a great size for a lap quilt or fun sofa throw.
Pieced, quilted, and bound by me on my sewing machine. Prewashed for preshrinking and colorfastness, in an eco-friendly product called Soak. Machine washable and dryable.
