Cinder Quilt Kit - Lo-fi Linens
📻 Cinder: Lo-Fi Linens is low-key color balanced with high-key neon and an extra special linen texture.
Skip the fabric-planning spiral and head straight into sewing something bright, graphic, and ridiculously fun.
Cinder, a new pattern by Meghan of A Piece of Quiet Quilts, is built from blocks inspired by (you guessed it!) cinder blocks. Paired with Rashida Coleman-Hale's Lo-Fi Linens, the effect will take you back in time: bouncing around to your favorite beats, pumped out of the state-of-the-art audio tech of its time, the boombox.

💡 Why this kit
This is what happens when an industrial-looking quilt pattern meets a fabric collection with VERVE.
The geometric Cinder blocks give Lo-Fi Linens a perfect place to play. Neon pink, yellow, coral, goldenrod, lilac, lavender, peachy pink, and soft neutrals bounce around the quilt, with little boomboxes, headphones, and other wonderfully weird details hiding throughout.
And these aren't quite ordinary quilting cottons. Lo-Fi Linens is 85% cotton and 15% linen, giving the fabrics a slightly different texture and weight than standard quilting cotton and adding another layer of interest to the finished quilt.
The Neon Pink Mini Dot background is intentionally bold—it just happens to be having a difficult time translating itself accurately in the mockup. Trust me on this one: it is neon pink in real life. 😄
This kit keeps it simple:
- No trying to wrangle all those neon colors into a cohesive palette
- No hunting down a perfect jelly roll only to have to figure out what to do with it
- No wondering which background will make the collection pop
Just a bright, playful fabric pairing and a pattern that gives all those excellent little prints room to show off.
🧵 Limited kits
Small batch, thoughtfully curated. Beautiful fabric deserves the right pattern, and this pairing lets them both shine.
Once they're gone, they're gone.
