🏡 Cozy Cabin: Memento — are you ready for some cabin fever?

This extra-large version of Cozy Cabin pairs Carolyn Friedlander's beautifully textured Memento collection with coordinating Speckled fabrics, creating a quilt full of cobalt, olive, lavender, orange, red-orange, neon, and neutrals.

And while the palette is anything but traditional, this quilt has a little history around here: I made an earlier version using another Carolyn Friedlander collection when I tested this pattern for Modernly Morgan, so I know they're a match made in cozy heaven.

• One coordinating full sized spool of Aurifil 50wt cotton thread in Natural White (#2021)
• One small spool of Aurifil 50wt cotton thread in Jedi (#6736) to match binding

Not included (you will need):

• At least 5½ yards backing fabric*
  • I recommend Cabin in Nighttime, if you love committing to a theme
• Batting

*You may need additional backing fabric depending on your quilting plan. If you're sending your quilt to a longarmer, you might need more backing fabric.

The Off White background keeps everything feeling open and bright, while the coordinating Speckled fabrics add extra layers of color and texture throughout the design.

This is a big quilt, but the block-based construction keeps the sewing approachable and satisfying. You'll see it grow quickly—and end up with an 80" square quilt with enough presence to become the centerpiece of a room.
