Hematite Scrappy Trip Quilt

It's got a magnetic appeal, doesn't it?

Handmade Patchwork Quilt in solid colors and quirky, modern prints in saturated shades of black, gray, pewter, and silver. Some metallic gold and copper accents add to its shine. This is a traditional scrap quilt using a technique called Trip Around the World.

This quilt is backed with a beautiful black and gray ombre. It has a bamboo blend batting and was professionally quilted in an ikat pattern with black thread, by longarm quilter Meghan at A Piece of Quiet Quilts. Black embroidery print binding.

Approximately 75” square, great size for a twin quilt or a large throw, also looks great as a coverlet atop a larger bed.

Pieced and bound by me on my sewing machine; quilted as described above. Prewashed for preshrinking and colorfastness, in an eco-friendly product called Soak. Machine washable and dryable.
