Elizabeth Hartman’s Lepidoptera sampler has 19 different butterflies, but sometimes one magnificent butterfly is plenty.

This 45" square version uses the largest butterfly block from the Lepidoptera pattern, with a carefully curated gradient of Alison Glass Color Camp prints ranging from deep teal to icy aqua for those gorgeous morpho-style wings. Pure Solids in Snow and Speckled Metallic Black add crisp graphic details, while Space Sprinkles in Frozen Berry gives an ethereal backdrop.

🎯 Skill level
Advanced Beginner. This version uses a single butterfly block from the Lepidoptera pattern. There are plenty of small pieces, but everything is made with conventional rotary cutting and piecing—no special techniques required.

💡 Why this kit
The magic is in the wing gradient. The Color Camp fabrics shift from deep, saturated teal through lighter shades, giving the butterfly that dimensional, almost iridescent quality you’d expect from a Blue Morpho.
