🦋 Lepidoptera: Color Camp is 19 butterflies, 30 glorious colorful prints, 1 work of art, 0 regrets. 

Elizabeth Hartman's butterfly sampler meets Alison Glass's Color Camp fabrics, pulled from all four collections (Bloom, Dusk, Grove, and Sun) for a paintbox palette that runs from fuchsia to tangerine to chartreuse to teal to cobalt. Each wing is built from strips that step from dark to light. The soft Sweet Macadamia background lets every one of them pop.

At the center, one giant statement butterfly holds court. Her name is Alice (yes, they all have names). The rest of the colorful crew flutters around her in a mix of sizes and shapes.

• You are pretty familiar with following a pattern, keeping small pieces organized, and conventional piecing techniques
• Simple straight and diagonal seams
• No templates or paper piecing
• Lots of butterflies, 6 different types of block in the sampler, which means lots of cutting and piecing

This one was a production, friends. Curating 30 different fabrics across five color stories, cutting and organizing the materials for 19 individual butterflies, and creating the mockup is considerably more involved than my usual kit.

So I'm offering Lepidoptera as a preorder, which lets me put together this intriguing fabric puzzle with the number of kits actually needed rather than making a giant pile of butterfly parts and hoping for the best.

The upside for you: the color stories, fabric selection, and background have all been figured out. You get to skip the part where you stare at a stack of 30+ fabrics and wonder whether you've made a terrible mistake.

💡 Why this kit

Gradient wings live or die by their fabrics. Every shade has to step smoothly into the next, and every hue needs to get along with its neighbors.

That's Color Camp's whole job. These two-color fabrics read like solids but carry a touch of texture and depth, so the gradients stay clear from across the room and still reward a closer look. Pulling from all four collections puts the full color wheel in one kit.
