For this String Lanterns quilt, A Piece of Quiet Quilts’ geometric pattern magically mimics the curve of a string of fairy lights. And the Christmas season get a decidedly less-traditional treatment: pale pink, hot pink, seafoam, mint, and emerald, with just enough holiday-specific fabric to make the occasion clear. There are ornaments. There are Christmas cookies. There are ice skates. We contain multitudes.
Firefly in Sigh — a scattered flurry of dots on a soft, seafoam green — gives the whole quilt a fresh, frosty foundation, while Emerald Pure Solids frames the lanterns and carries through to the binding.
The result is festive without being fussy, and just mod enough to class up the joint!

💡 Why this kit
We love a Christmas quilt with a mod palette. Were there any reindeer named Minty?? (If not, why not?)
The palette does most of the work here: pinks and cool greens give the holiday prints a fresh and playful look, while the Emerald border and binding add just enough contrast to make those lanterns pop. The ice skates bring in a little winter magic, while the ornaments and cookies say 'Christmas', but they don't shout it (they sing it).
