Surprise Party Quilt
Quirky Retro Style in a bright, modern color palette.
This quilt is made from super soft designer cottons in quirky, whimsical prints from a fabric collection by Rashida Coleman-Hale called Whatnot; look closely and you'll find tiny boom boxes, toothbrushes, potted plants, and bold brushstrokes. The quilt pattern is called Celebrate and looks like party bunting.
In a jubilant array of colors from pastel pink to bright yellow to royal blue, this is quilted with white thread in a meandering geometric pattern, like a road map. A speckled teal binding frames up those party banners. The backing is beautiful watercolor-style sateen in green, yellow and cyan, swirled to look like oil on water, or a churning sea.
Approximately, 72" x 90", perfect generous size for a twin bed, or for the full experience, have all your friends pop out from underneath and yell “Surprise!”
Pieced, quilted, and bound by me on my sewing machine. Prewashed for preshrinking and colorfastness, in an eco-friendly product called Soak. Machine washable and dryable.
This quilt is already made, prewashed, and ready to ship. Add to Cart, proceed to checkout, and you could receive it in less than a week!
Once you have received your quilt (or you have given it as a gift), please feel free to send me a photo of it in its new home. I absolutely love seeing them being loved and displayed in their natural habitats!
