Rare Society Darlings Quilt
Eclectic Funky Style transforms a traditional block quilt
The Rare Society quilt is made from super soft designer cottons in fun quirky prints from the Darlings collection from the designers of Ruby Star Society; look closely and you'll find everything from hedgehogs to octopuses to wild horses. Perfect for a funky boho studio apartment, and yet works equally well as an I-Spy quilt for a twin bed. The quilt block pattern is a classic Contrary Wife, updated with a name that doesn’t offend my feminist sensibilities.
In shades of plum, peach, teal, caramel, and black, this is quilted with a soft white thread in a straight line grid. A light gray binding with white sparks frames up those Rare Society stars. The backing is a soft pewter gray cotton.
Approximately 70" square, perfect size for a small twin or camper bed or for the full experience, share it with some singular company. Also a great size for a lap quilt or fun sofa throw.
Pieced, quilted, and bound by me on my sewing machine. Prewashed for preshrinking and colorfastness, in an eco-friendly product called Soak. Machine washable and dryable.
